The third JM&G Symposium will be hosted by the University of Naples Parthenope University and “Federico II” on Friday 12th September, at 9:30.
The Symposium is devoted to the discussion and presentation of papers selected for a Special Issue of JM&G about “New perspectives on board research”. The Special Issue aims at presenting new trends and perspectives about board research within a broad framework. The articles are called to advance our understanding of board of directors along three dimensions: (i) theoretical perspectives, (ii) methodological approaches, and (iii) samples of firms.
The Symposium is an occasion for presenting papers that will be included in the Special Issue. After a pre-selection process, seven invited manuscripts will be presented and discussed at the Symposium. One leading scholar in the field (S.O. Collin), the editors and all scholars attending the event will discuss the papers providing indications to authors on how to develop their research. After the Symposium, all presenters will be invited to refine and resubmit their manuscripts to the journal until the 1st of January 2009 for the final round and decision about the acceptance in the special issue.
